DG Series Resolvers

The standard Rotasyn resolver may be an ideal choice for conventional machinery or electric motors. The "servo slot" allows for easy alignment of the angle encoder with the pole direction of the permanent magnet motor during assembly. Modern servo amplifiers or resolver converters can electronically align the resolver with the permanent magnet motor.

In such cases, a Rotasyn resolver with a fixed flange may be the optimal solution, as it can be installed more quickly, requires no mechanical adjustment, and is easy to replace.

Rotasyn standard resolvers are available in two configurations:

The Admotec Precision-RO Series Rotasyn Variable Reluctance Frameless Resolvers deliver high performance in measurement and feedback applications where traditional resolvers fail. They are ideally suited for aerospace, downhole, nuclear energy, and other demanding applications.

These solid-rotor resolvers provide OEMs with reliable solutions for any quantity, from prototype units to high-volume production.

Rotasyn resolvers feature fewer components, a robust rotor, and no windings, making them significantly simpler than traditional brushless resolvers. Since the solid rotor has no coils, the stator has only half the number of windings compared to conventional resolvers.

The reliability of brushless resolvers is significantly improved. The solid rotor design allows it to operate immersed in hydraulic oil or other fluids.

Rotasyn resolvers are mechanically and electrically compatible with traditional brushless resolvers and can replace them as original equipment or in existing applications. If our standard products do not meet your requirements, a custom version can be quickly designed for your application.

Product Features

  • Structural Design: Utilizes a solid rotor with no windings, reducing the risk of wear and failure. Compared to traditional brushless resolvers, it has fewer parts, a simpler structure, and significantly improved reliability.

  • Performance Advantages: High precision with accuracy better than ±18 arc minutes and repeatability better than ±1 arc minute. Capable of withstanding pressures up to 1,600 bar and speeds up to 10,000 RPM. Wide operating temperature range from -196°C to approximately +220°C.

  • Environmental Adaptability: Can operate with the rotor immersed in liquids such as hydraulic oil. Suitable for harsh environments like aerospace, downhole, and nuclear energy. Equipped with sealed cables, connectors, and splined couplings, offering strong anti-interference capability and resistance to vibration and shock.

  • Compatibility: Mechanically and electrically compatible with traditional brushless resolvers, allowing for easy replacement of original equipment or existing resolvers.

Main Models
Includes RO2010, RO2613, RO3620, RO5032, RO6040, RO7557, RO8565, RO10080, and others. For example, the RO2010 is a frameless Size 8 solid-rotor resolver with a stator outer diameter of 20 mm, an air gap diameter of 10 mm, and suitability for shafts up to 4 mm in diameter.

Application Fields
Widely used in:

  • Aerospace: Flight control systems in aircraft, position feedback for hydraulic actuators.

  • Energy Sector: Downhole equipment angle measurement in oil and gas extraction.

  • Automotive Industry: Electric power steering systems, engine control systems.

  • Mechanical Engineering: Axis angle measurement and position control in machine tools and robots.

  • Medical Technology: Angle measurement and positioning of rotating components in medical imaging equipment.

The Admotec Precision-DG Series Rotasyn Dual-Gap Resolvers deliver high performance in measurement and feedback applications where traditional resolvers fail. These solid-rotor, dual-rotor resolvers are ideally suited for aerospace, downhole, nuclear energy, and other harsh applications, providing OEMs with reliable solutions for any quantity, from prototype units to high-volume production.
